28 Kettu or Charadukettu is a function when a new born baby girl(for boys it is 27) is given her name. the name is uttered into her ears by both the parents covering the other ear with a beetel leaf. all the near relatives of both the parents gather to bless the child and gift her with ornaments. normally the function for the first child is held in the mother's home. in these pictures uma is the darling baby. anoop and aaradhya can be seen calling her name. helped by anoop's mother, padmaja devi. the place is Kausthubham. All went well with the blessings of Lord Guruvayoorappan
